I. Exhibiting at the Composites Expo: Leadership Team Engages Head-Stream Customers

From September 1 to 3, 2026, the 29th China International Composites Industry Technology Exhibition (CCE2026) was held at the National Exhibition and Convention Center (Shanghai). Under the theme "Thermoplastics · Green Materials · Smart Manufacturing: New Heights for Domestic Industry," the expo brought together 977 exhibitors from 17 countries and regions, covering 76,000 square meters of exhibition space, with 22,974 attendees on the opening day — making it the most influential industry event in the global composites sector.

The senior management team of Linyi Blue Crystal Optoelectronics Technology Co., Ltd. made a dedicated trip to Shanghai to attend the expo and led visits to leading industry players, including Hubei Feilihua Quartz Glass Co., Ltd., Henan Shenjiu Advanced Materials Technology Co., Ltd., Guangyuan New Materials Co., Ltd., Ruiyuan Technology (Sichuan) Co., Ltd., Tongcheng Tongli Fiberglass Co., Ltd., and Taishan Fiberglass Inc. In-depth strategic cooperation discussions were held with the leadership of these companies regarding the application of high-purity quartz materials in quartz fiber and electronic-grade copper clad laminate (CCL) sectors.

II. Strategic Cooperation: 4N8 Quartz Rods Pass Supply Chain Validation with Head-Stream Customers

During the discussions with leading enterprises, Blue Crystal's 4N8-grade high-purity quartz rods received high recognition from customers, who confirmed the products are suitable as raw material supply for quartz fiber used in electronic-grade CCL. The 4N8 grade denotes a SiO₂ purity of 99.998%, with total impurity elements below 20 ppm and hydroxyl (OH⁻) content controllable to under 2 ppm (compared to the industry average of 10–20 ppm) — making it a critical upstream material for drawing high-end quartz fiber yarn.

This high-level visit was not merely a technical alignment at the product level, but a strategic synergy at the supply chain level — entering from the quartz raw material end, Blue Crystal is building upstream-downstream linkages with downstream quartz fiber drawing and weaving enterprises, jointly targeting the explosive demand for high-end quartz materials driven by AI computing infrastructure.

III. From Rod to Yarn to Fabric: 5,100-Meter Continuous Quartz Fiber Yarn Successfully Validated

At the expo, the Blue Crystal team witnessed the end-product achievements of the downstream chain first-hand: quartz fiber yarn drawn from Blue Crystal's 4N8 quartz rods, and quartz fiber fabric (Q-fabric) further woven from the yarn.

Notably, the quartz fiber yarn drawn from Blue Crystal rods can be continuously spun up to 5,100 meters per single strand without breakage — a result already validated by the customer through drawing experiments. This figure directly reflects the outstanding performance of the 4N8 quartz rod in purity uniformity, internal defect control, and thermal stability — as quartz fiber diameters typically range from only a few microns to over a dozen microns, any trace impurity or bubble in the raw material can cause the drawing process to break.

Currently, the quartz fabric woven from this yarn has entered the final customer validation stage — for instance, certification of M9-grade CCL (copper clad laminate) products for AI chip giants such as NVIDIA is in progress.

IV. Why Quartz Fabric Is the "Hidden Bottleneck" Material for AI Computing

As NVIDIA's AI chips evolve from H100 and H200 to the Rubin/GB300 architecture, high-speed signal transmission rates have jumped from 112 Gbps to 224 Gbps, with PCB layer counts surpassing 78 layers. The dielectric constant (Dk≈6.0–6.6) and dielectric loss (Df) of traditional fiberglass fabric can no longer meet the requirements of ultra-high-speed signal integrity.

Quartz fiber fabric (Q-fabric) has become the mandatory solution for M9-grade and above CCL:
  • Dielectric constant Dk ≤ 2.3, far lower than traditional fiberglass fabric;
  • Dielectric loss Df ≈ 0.0009, suitable for frequencies ≥ 100 GHz;
  • Coefficient of thermal expansion reduced by 80% compared to ordinary fiberglass fabric, ensuring dimensional stability of PCBs under temperature cycling.

The core raw material of quartz fabric is precisely high-purity quartz rods — from 4N8 quartz rod to quartz fiber yarn, and then to ultra-thin quartz fabric, every step places extremely high demands on raw material purity. Blue Crystal's 4N8 quartz rods, with their low hydroxyl content (≤2 ppm), low thermal expansion (approximately 0.55×10⁻⁶/°C), and high-temperature resistance (softening point above 1,650°C, with long-term service at 1,100–1,200°C), precisely match the process requirements of high-end quartz fiber drawing.

V. The Second Growth Curve: Strategic Extension from Infrared Heating to Quartz Materials

Blue Crystal's appearance at the Composites Expo through exhibition attendance and high-level visits reflects the company's clear strategic transformation logic: while maintaining its existing infrared heating business, the company is extending upstream into the high-purity quartz materials sector, launching its second growth curve.

This transformation is not a leap into unrelated territory, but a natural extension built on years of deep expertise in quartz materials. Blue Crystal has long manufactured infrared heating devices based on quartz glass as the core substrate, accumulating profound know-how in quartz purity control, thermal processing, and quality management. The 4N8 high-purity quartz rod passing head-stream customer validation and the successful 5,100-meter continuous fiber yarn drawing mark a key step in the company's evolution from a "user of quartz materials" to a "supplier of high-purity quartz materials."

Against the backdrop of explosive demand for high-end quartz materials in AI computing infrastructure, enterprises capable of stable 4N8-grade quartz rod supply will secure an advantageous upstream position in the industry chain of quartz fiber — quartz fabric — high-frequency CCL — AI servers.

Summary

During the 29th China International Composites Expo, Blue Crystal, through exhibition attendance and high-level visits, reached supply chain cooperation consensus on 4N8 high-purity quartz rods with leading enterprises including Feilihua, Shenjiu Advanced Materials, Taishan Fiberglass, Tongli Fiberglass, and Ruiyuan Technology. From quartz rods to 5,100-meter continuous quartz fiber yarn, and then to customers' end-terminal CCL validation processes, Blue Crystal is establishing its position in the AI computing materials supply chain. The low-hydroxyl, low-expansion, high-temperature-resistant 4N8 quartz rod is the starting point of this industry chain; and the second growth curve from infrared heating to high-purity quartz materials is Blue Crystal's strategic answer for the future.
