As photovoltaic cell technology advances toward higher efficiency and thinner wafers, the sintering furnace—core equipment in the metallization process—directly determines silver paste sintering quality and cell conversion efficiency. Linyi Lanjing Optoelectronics Technology Co., Ltd. provides full-zone, customized infrared thermal solutions for photovoltaic sintering furnaces through its short-wave halogen and medium-wave carbon fiber heating tube lines, enabling rapid temperature rise, precise peak holding, and improved energy efficiency.
Unlike traditional resistance-wire furnaces and pusher kilns, photovoltaic sintering furnaces are radiant rapid-sintering systems featuring low thermal inertia, zoned temperature control, and continuous mesh-belt transport. A typical line comprises a binder-removal drying zone, a rapid heating zone, a peak sintering zone, and a cooling zone, each requiring distinct infrared spectra and power densities. Lanjing tailors lamp selection to every process stage.
1.In the binder-removal drying zone (150–450°C), organic solvents and resin carriers in the paste must evaporate steadily to prevent bubbling, delamination, and pinhole defects. Lanjing's medium-wave carbon fiber lamp emit spectra closely matching organic resin absorption peaks, delivering uniform heating from surface to core and avoiding premature skin formation that traps internal gases.
2.The rapid heating zone (450–750°C) requires the workpiece to reach sintering temperature within a short distance. Lanjing's short-wave halogen lamps, with instantaneous response and high power density, can be used alone or in hybrid carbon-fiber/halogen configurations, shortening zone length and increasing throughput.
3.The peak sintering zone (700–1050°C) is where the silver–silicon eutectic reaction occurs. Lanjing's gold short-wave halogen infrared lamps, deployed in a top-and-bottom dual-sided array, provide precise control over peak temperature and thermal duration. Their extremely fast response ensures heat drops immediately upon power-off, eliminating the over-sintering risk caused by large chamber heat storage in conventional resistance furnaces, while preventing burn-through of the silicon nitride passivation layer and safeguarding cell efficiency.
4.In the cooling zone, infrared tubes are switched off and rapid cooling is achieved via water-cooled chambers and process gases. Lanjing's half-gold and half-white-plated reflect coating lamps further direct infrared energy toward the workpiece, reducing furnace-body heat absorption and boosting overall energy efficiency.
Photovoltaic cell and module production is highly concentrated in industrial clusters across Jiangsu, Zhejiang, Anhui, Guangdong, and Jiangxi provinces, where sintering furnace manufacturers and cell producers form the core customer base. Lanjing Optoelectronics will continue to advance infrared heating technology and deliver one-stop solutions — from tube selection to zoned temperature design — for photovoltaic metallization, thick-film circuits, and ceramic metallization, partnering with the industry chain to drive the next generation of high-efficiency PV manufacturing.
